"Widows' House" ( Ògnariô ) The building was built in 1967 by the former owners of the farm -- the Piekarski family -- as a farm building. The name refers to a wing in Pomeranian castles which very often is set aside for widows of the Pomeranian dukes where the widows have the right to spend their retirement. In Kashubian tradition, ( Ògnariô ) is a similar space where, after the older generation of farmers turn the farm over to the younger generation, they secure for themselves a place on the original homestead with the right to spend the autumn of their years.
